It was a pleasure to attend the official opening of the ArkHive from Timpson identity shop, in the presence of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Henley-on-Thames, and Mr John Timpson.

ArkHive is an exciting venture in the high street bridging the gap between the digital and the physical world. The Timpson ethos, to provide great customer service by great people, is supporting SME’s and the general public to access Government digital services. Sometimes this means providing a helping hand and sometimes just giving people the confidence to have a go themselves.

We have been privileged to have been part of the ArkHive journey from the outset. As John Timpson himself explained, this is a journey about which we’re all learning and where we’ll end up we really don’t know. As home and mobile technology becomes ever more sophisticated, and Government, the banks and other sectors transform the way they deliver their services, so there will be a growing need to provide assistance to those in our society who may get left behind. For us, this is an incredibly exciting journey to be a part of and to help, in some small way, to shape the future.

Being presented with the inaugural ArkHive Innovation Award by John was a pleasant and completely unexpected surprise – we didn’t even know we had been short listed!
